EPA Proposes Approval of New Climate-Friendly Refrigerants

In support of President Obama's Climate Action Plan, EPA is proposing to increase options for refrigerants in the United States that offer better climate protection without harming the ozone layer. Proposed action would expand list of substitutes approved by EPA's Significant New Alternatives Policy to include more low-global warming potential alternatives that can replace both ozone-depleting substances and high-GWP hydrofluorocarbons.
