Resolving alleged federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) violations, settlement with EPA and DOJ by Mosaic Fertilizer LLC ensures treatment, storage, and disposal of ~60 billion pounds of hazardous waste at 6 facilities in Florida and 2 in Louisiana. Trust fund will be established to cover closure, treatment, and long-term care of facilities, millions will be spent on facility and environmental projects, and civil penalties will be paid to USA, Louisiana, and Florida.
