(Telecompaper) A large majority of EU residents are aware of the end to roaming charges since 15 June and many are using their phones more abroad as a result, according to the first survey by Eurostat since 'roam like at home' started. The survey conducted at the end of August across all 28 EU states found that 71 percent of people are aware of the end to roaming charges, rising to 86 percent of those who have traveled to another EU country since 15 June. However, a majority who traveled in the EU since 15 June are still restricting their usage in some way.
