MUMBAI/LONDON -- India's United Spirits Ltd agreed to sell its Whyte & Mackay scotch whisky unit to Emperador Inc. of the Philippines in a $729-million deal that satisfies UK antitrust concerns and the Filipino company's thirst for growth.
