Two federal judges recently dismissed the claims of the spouses of workers who purportedly carried asbestos fibers home from their workplaces. In July 2014, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma dismissed a case alleging that an employer negligently allowed a worker to bring asbestos fibers home on his clothes that caused mesothelioma to develop in his wife, holding that the defendant company was not aware of the danger at the time.
