Energy Department and NREL announced 182,500 ft² Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF) in Golden, CO as latest Energy Department user facility, and only one in USA, focused on utility-scale clean energy grid integration. Facility's first industry partner, Colorado-based Advanced Energy Industries, has already signed on to start work at ESIF in developing lower cost, better performing solar power inverters.
