According to various reports, Williams Companies and Energy Transfer Equity are closing in on a deal , with WMB's board of directors preparing to meet as soon as this week to consider the revised offer. Reuters is reporting that ETE has offered to adjust its proposal for WMB, offering to pay ~15% of the deal in cash versus the previous all-equity offer.
