Energy industry finally focusing on replacing an aging work force, managers say

Human-resources managers from some of the Charlotte region's major energy-industry players say making their companies grapple with the urgent need to replace a rapidly aging work force has proved difficult. "It has been a battle to get anything established or funded to deal with this problem," said Debra Hager , Duke Energy's nuclear strategic work force development manager.
