Ericsson names board member Ekholm as new CEO

(Telecompaper) Ericsson has named board member Borje Ekholm as its new President and CEO, effective 16 January 2017. Ekholm is currently CEO of Patricia Industries, a unit of the investment group Investor AB, a shareholder in Ericsson. He replaces CFO Jan Frykhammar, who has been serving as interim CEO since july when Hans Vestberg abruptly left the company.
