Ethan Allen plans 'Chair-ity' event

<![CDATA[Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. a leading style and interior design authority celebrating its milestone 80th anniversary, is introducing Fresh Colors, a new collection of vibrantly colored, "seriously fun fabrics," finishes and accessories for the young and the young at heart. To celebrate the launch of Fresh Colors, Ethan Allen will host a "chair-ity" event to benefit The Rainbow Connection, an organization dedicated to fulfilling the special wishes of Michigan children with life-threatening or terminal illnesses. The event will take place on 6-9 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Ethan Allen Design Center, 275 N. Old Woodward in Birmingham. Festivities will include a raffle, live music, appetizers and a wine tasting provided by downtown Birmingham restaurants, and a silent auction of four Ethan Allen upholstered chairs hand-painted by a local artist. "Ethan Allen has been a part of the vibrant downtown Birmingham community for more than 14 years," said Pam Bemus, Regional Design manager of the Great Lakes region. "We encourage the local community to join the celebration and help support The Rainbow Connection."
