Exclusive: As Sprint ousts KC engineers, SoftBank's take up slack

Sprint Corp.'s recent layoffs of network staff may aim at making room for engineers from its Tokyo-based parent company. The carrier announced last week it is cutting at least 65 IT and network engineers from its Overland Park-based headquarters - weeks after its CEO said the company would welcome up to 50 SoftBank Corp. engineers to help with its network.
