FAA Proposes $547,500 Civil Penalty against Hawaiian Airlines

Civil penalty proposed by FAA against Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. involves alleged operation of one Boeing 767-300 not in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations. Supposedly, Hawaiian operated said aircraft 5,000+ times, between July 2004 and July 2012, when it was not in compliance with July 2000 Airworthiness Directive requiring inspections of engine thrust reverser components. FAA also alleges said aircraft was used for 14 passenger flights after Hawaiian was alerted to erroneous records.<br ...This story is related to the following:Trade Associations
