FTSE-100 breaks through 6400 mark

The FTSE 100 Index rose 25.3 points to 6421, with budget carrier easyJet rising by 1% as travel firms recovered ground despite geopolitical uncertainty. The pound was a cent down against the US dollar at just over 1.49, after data showed that UK construction output dropped to a seven-month low in November.
