Feds approve long-awaited runway extension at Ogdensburg airport

The 1,200 feet expansion will help accommodate Allegiant Air flights at the airport. The expansion is necessary, officials said, in order for Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air, which recently decided to offer flights from Ogdensburg, to land its planes.
