PERTH, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwired - Oct 15, 2013) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources Australia (Perth, Australia) -- Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) Limited (Balawa, Fiji) began construction on Phase I of the 45-megawatt (MW) Rarawai Cogeneration Project in Rarawai, Fiji. The biomass-to-energy facility is located at the company's existing sugar facility at Rarawai, in Balawa, and will utilize bagasse, a sugar by-product, as fuel. FSC expects to get approximately 250,000 tonnes of cane waste from the Rarawai sugar mill.
