Finally, the 7 subway extension has an opening date

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has set a date for opening the 7 subway line extension, tweeting out that the much-anticipated line will open on Sept. 13 at 1 p.m., a welcome development after several high-profile delays pushed the opening back by years.
