The company that is today Cooper Tire was born in same rubber cradle as Goodyear, Goodrich, Firestone, and General Tire, when two brothers-in-law went in business together and bought a small Akron company that made tire patches and repair kits. One hundred years later, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.
