Fischer: 'City in transformation' needs Omni's exclamation point, more summer jobs

An improved economy and reinvestment by long-term employers have helped make the Louisville Metro "a city in transformation" since taking office five years ago, Mayor Greg Fischer told Rotary Club members during his State of the City Address on Thursday afternoon. "Our goal is to do more than keep up with the pace of global change, it's to leap ahead," Fischer said.
