A dive in Asian liquefied natural gas prices expected in the second half of 2015 is poised to put pressure on the credit ratings of European energy majors such as BG Group and France's Total, whose ventures in Australia are likely to be unprofitable, Fitch Ratings says. Local players such as Woodside Petroleum, which generated about 64 per cent of its revenues from LNG last year, would also be hit this year, after seeing a "limited" hit in 2014 because of the lag between crude oil prices and LNG, the ratings agency said in a new analysis.
