Florida professor donates Monsanto grant money following criticism

A University of Florida plant scientist whose ties to Monsanto have been scrutinized by activists tried to give back a $25,000 grant from the agribusiness, but has instead donated it to a food pantry. The professor, Kevin Folta , was among researchers whose emails were obtained through freedom-of-information laws by activists with U.S. Right to Know, a group that, among other things, advocates for labels on foods containing genetically modified organisms.
