(Telecompaper) The former EE CEO Olaf Swantee is returning to his home country of Switzerland to become CEO of challenger operator Sunrise. Swantee stepped down following the takeover of EE by BT and will take up the new position in May. He replaces Libor Voncina, who has headed Sunrise for more than three years and who took the company public a year ago. Sunrise also proposed Peter Kurer as its new chairman, replacing interim chairman Lorne Somerville, and the appointment of new members Michael Krammer and Robin Bienenstock to its board of directors. The appointments must be confirmed at the annual shareholders meeting 15 April.
