(Telecompaper) 21st Century Fox, NBCUniversal and The Walt Disney Company jointly announced they will maintain their respective ownership positions in Hulu and together provide a cash infusion of USD 750 million in order to propel future growth. Each of the media companies owns 33 percent in Hulu. Launched in 2008, Hulu is a provider of on-demand online television content from over 400 content partners, and has achieved more than 30 million monthly unique visitors. The owners earlier put the site up for sale, reportedly attracting bidders such as Yahoo, AT&T, DirecTV and Time Warner Cable. The company was expected to sell for over USD 1 billion.
