Fremont student, 17, wins Bay Area biotech genius competition

Fremont resident Vaishnavi Shrivastava, 17, took first place in the 2015 Amgen Bay Area BioGENEius Challenge, the premiere competition for high school students recognizing outstanding research in biotechnology. Her research centers on the biotechnology field use of stem cells to treat osteoporosis.
