Inter Press Service: As heads of state and government of the G7 states prepare for their Jun. 7-8 summit in Germany, Oxfam has released a new report titled Let Them Eat Coal which they may find hard to digest. According to the report, coal plants in the G7 countries Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom and United States are on track to cost the world 450 billion dollars a year by the end of the century and reduce crops by millions of tonnes as they fuel the gathering pace of climate change.
