GM's Barra rejects talk of industry consolidation

General Motors Chief Executive Mary Barra said her company doesn't need to get involved in Sergio Marchionne's call for consolidation among carmakers and that it would distract from the strategy she has set forth. Barra's comments come after Marchionne of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said last week that the industry needed to consolidate to improve returns to shareholders.
