GSMA agrees to open up on eSim rules after US competition investigation

(Telecompaper) The GSMA has agreed to change how it sets standards, taking more input from outside the mobile operator sector, after an antitrust investigation by the US found the group may be favouring incumbent network operators in eSim rules. The Department of Justice said it reached an agreement with the GSMA after a nearly two-year investigation into how the industry group led development of eSim standards.
