General Electric: Sale Of The Appliances Unit Cannot Come Soon Enough

According to a Reuters report, General Electric appears to be close to finalizing the deal to sell its iconic appliance business to Swedish firm Electrolux AB . GE would receive more than $2.5 billion for the business, which is at the top range of what General Electric was originally asking for as I noted in my earlier article published back in July.
