Ghana - Indian government to fund reconstruction of Komenda sugar factory

The Indian Government will support the reconstruction of the Komenda sugar mill with a $35 mln loan. The plant which had been idled in 1982. Once operational again in 2014 it will have a crushing capacity of 1,250 tonnes of cane a day. It will also have a co-generation unit which will sell up to 1 MW to the public grid.
