Fresh-cut red gala apples recalled by Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. because of potential listeria contamination caused retailer Giant Eagle Inc. to issue its own recall of pistachio apple salad made with the suspect apple slices. Retailer Giant Eagle recalled apple pistachio salads because they may contain fresh-cut apples from Fresh Del Monte Produce that have been recalled because of possible listeria contamination.
