Gibraltar Industries cracks solar field with $130M acquisition

Gibraltar Industries announced Wednesday it has acquired privately held RBI Solar Inc., Rough Brothers Manufacturing Inc., and affiliates for $130 million. According to officials at Buffalo-based Gibraltar the deal will allow the structural metals manufacturer to enter the solar industry.
