Goldman Sachs Says David Z. Solomon to Join Fund-Management Unit

Solomon will try to build the client base for Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, a hedge fund started by the firm's traders in 2007, according to an internal memo sent by Raanan Agus and Kenneth Eberts, co-heads of GSIP. Andrea Raphael, a spokeswoman for the New York-based bank, confirmed the contents of the memo.
