Goodyear Tire and Rubber raised the dividend it pays to stockholders 17 percent Tuesday amid anticipation that it will make more money in the first quarter of next year. The company is living up to a promise to increase shareholder dividends as it simplifies its tire business model, pays down debt and focuses on high-dollar specialty tires.
