Google announces Cast for wireless music playing on a speaker

Google has announced Cast for users to play their music or audio from a smartphone to a compatible speaker over Wi-Fi. According to the Verge, Cast for audio is based on the same technology Google uses for its Chromecast, just without the video capabilities.
