The government should be doing more to support the British semiconductor industry, Sir Hossein Yassaie, CEO of Imagination, told last night's Elektra Awards dinner at the Lancaster Hotel, London, where he was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. "The problem for the UK semiconductor industry is getting companies to reach scale,' said Sir Hossein "in the United States, with its many large competitive companies, there is a vibrant, dynamic, industry and a lot of funding can easily be raised.
