HC calls for SAIL mine opening

Ranchi, Jan. 13: Jharkhand High Court today directed the state government to allow operations at Dhobil Mines, paving the way for Steel Authority of India Limited to resume mining in West Singhbhum district more than four months after work was halted in September last year. The court of Justice S. Chandrashekhar directed SAIL, which moved court against a state government notification, to give an undertaking that it would abide by the court orders and continue mining till the disposal of the case.
