A novel dyeing process that uses green solvents, and the conversion of food waste into polylactic acid fibre (PLA) were just two of the award-winning initiatives presented by the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) at the world's largest inventions event last weekend.
