HMD Global CEO steps down with immediate effect

(Telecompaper) Chairman Sam Chin thanked Nummela for his contribution to starting up the company and the launch of its first products. HMD Global is the new owner of the Nokia brand for mobile phones and has just launched its first Android smartphones under the name. Nummela was previously a top executive at Nokia prior to the sale of its phone business to Microsoft.
