Providing protection from HVOF and plasma spray, BlueShield can be shaped and molded to cover odd-shaped areas as well as close off and protect areas which should not be treated. Single-step application process involves masked part undergoing 25 min curing cycle at 250°F. Resulting shield, ready for coating, is resistant to abrasion, similar to hard rubber, and can be peeled away at completion. Shelf life is 6 months at 72°F in sealed container and over one year in refrigerated room.
