Harkins sees bright future for Sikorsky, Stratford

Less than two weeks after news broke that the town's largest employer might be headed for a seismic shift, the topic did not figure into Stratford Mayor John Harkins ' annual address to the business community. Word came out March 11 that Sikorksy Aircraft, the largest manufacturer in the state and a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp., could be spun off into its own company or sold.
