Heritage House to shutter Hickory-area furniture factory, move 255 jobs

The layoffs are a part of a larger plan by Heritage Home to reorganize both its manufacturing and administrative offices after the bankruptcy of the former Furniture Brands International in late 2013. As many as 255 employees will lose their Hickory-area furniture jobs as Heritage Home Group consolidates much of its manufacturing to nearby Lenoir.
