High speed rail planners ask to close Kankakee Street

Amtrak trains currently come around the curve near Kankakee Street at no more than 65 mph, city officials say. THE CURVE IN the Union Pacific tracks east of Kankakee Street is challenging the team designing the second set of tracks for the state's high speed rail project.
