US - USDA will release the results of their latest hog inventory survey on June 26. My prediction: breeding herd up 1.8 per cent and market hog inventory up 8.5 per cent. Lower death loss from the PED virus is the reason for the big gap in the breeding and market herd numbers, write Ron Plain and Scott Brown, University of Missouri.
