Housing market slowing down, fewer millennials buying homes

The housing market continues to recover after a debilitating recession with homeownership rates stabilizing, construction jobs up and mortgage interest rates remaining at historic lows, a California housing expert said Friday at a symposium at Fresno State. But after a robust increase in home prices, the market hit a wall in September 2013 and is slowing down, said Selma Hepp, senior economist for the California Association of Realtors.
