It has had a turbulent history, but a younger generation of drinkers into its mixable qualities has bought Irish whiskey back center stage. At the New Midleton Distillery just outside of Cork, Ireland, three of the world's largest operating copper stills stand two stories high, visible through floor to ceiling glass windows on the outside.
