When shopping on Amazon or browsing Netflix, you might find yourself laughing at the occasional absurdity and incorrectness of the services' shopping or viewing recommendations. However, some researchers at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland have found a way to use particle physics to help recommendation engines recommend things you'd actually enjoy.
