Huawei ships over 200 mln smartphones in 2018

(Telecompaper) The company has experienced serious setbacks this year, with the US saying the company's products pose a security risk, prompting many US companies to drop its phones or equipment and the recent arrest of its CFO for violating US trade sanctions. Deutsche Teleckom has said it will also be reviewing its strategy regarding Huawei. Still, Huawei remains popular in places like China and Europe. The company said that over 500 million people in over 170 countries use its phones.
