IPG Photonics Corporation (IPGP) Soars Over 13% On Solid Q2 Results, Q3 Outlook: Hedge Funds Wary

Because of better-than-expected results for its second quarter in addition to its third quarter guidance, shares of IPG Photonics Corporation are up by more than 13% in afternoon trading. The lasers company reported earnings of $61.3 million or an adjusted earnings per share of $1.15, up by 27% and 25%, respectively, from the same quarter last year.
