Through social media campaign with Twitter hashtag #hitechstandards, ISO highlights enabling role standards play in innovation process. ANSI prioritizes raising awareness about importance of standards as technology-infused applications grow. In his editorial in ISO Focus magazine (May/June), ANSI president and CEO Joe Bhatia emphasized standards as foundation for technological innovation in economies (including growth of smart, sustainable cities).
