ITC hearing paints contradictory picture of U.S. tire industry

Mark Williams, president of United Steelworkers Local 351L representing workers at Michelin North America Inc.'s plant in Tuscaloosa, Ala., was among those who testified before the International Trade Commission June 9 in favor of finding material injury against the U.S. tire industry because of Chinese imports. With Mr. Williams at the table are Rodney Nelson, president of USW Local 207L representing workers at Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'
