Combining Simotics reluctance motors and Sinamics converters, Integrated Drive Systems offer efficiency in full and partial load range. Reluctance motors, available with aluminum or gray cast-iron enclosure, cover output range from 5.5–30 kW. Sinamics G120 converter incorporates vector control designed specifically for reluctance motors. Identification of pole positions prevents jerking movements of drive on activation, while flying restart enables synchronization with running motor.
